Selected Paintings of Mahin Azima
23 - 30 Sep. 2016
Mahin Azima was one of the first women to graduate from Tehran University’s School of Fine Arts in the 1950s. After several years of experimental work in different painting styles she began “Reverse Glass Painting” in the late 1960s. Her reverse-glass work utilized the practically forgotten Iranian technique for a uniquely modernist style. Some of her works can be found in top museums and private collections, including the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, the Iranology Foundation and Mrs Indira Gandhi’s Art Collection.
