Blue Day

Painting exhibition by Fereydoon Omidi

28 Oct. - 11 Nov. 2016

Blue day is a concept of the feature & a mesmerised outlook, whether fixed or movable, its components have suffered an accident, a pause or instantaneous changes which a moment later feels like as if they would go faraway or disappear from our sight.
We see piers, masts, bridges and roads that lead the eyes to the centre or faraway through a one point perspective.
Amidst the whiteness or blackness of the background, images from timeless moments (with compressed volume, density & integration of colours and the bas-relief), appear from pure stratified colours.
The extemporaneously and rapid movements of painting knife and the invasion of diagonal lines from corners to the center would all try to create a sense of excitement and instantaneous understanding of that moment.
